Why is food photography so difficult? ARUGH!?!?!??

Here’s our large cauldron of our chicken corn chowder and decided to take a picture.

Poor lighting and terrible conditions

Note: If you don’t have A LOT of lights, don’t waste your time.

So we found an attachable clamp-lamp, 4 more lights, etc…and we STILL didn’t get the lighting right!

Here’s our soup with a TON more lighting.

Better, but not the best

Dammit (Looks like a bunch of yellow teeth).

FYI–for those wondering, we usually have to shoot the dish at least two dozen or more times to get it *kinda* right. Most times, it’s WAY over that.

Maybe we should buy this book.
